Heavy oil is very low in fluidity at room conditions and has an approximate consistency, and its dynamic viscosity is around 40-90 cSt.

For good flow and effective combustion pulverization efficiency, the dynamic viscosity of heavy oil should be reduced by 5 cSt or so.

Heavy oil heaters should be heated to reduce the viscosity of the heavy oil and bring it to a suitable consistency (approximately diesel stability) for easy transportation from one place to another or for combustion with burners. There are various stages of heavy oil and heavy oil is heated to diesel fluidity by heating between 80-140 oC according to its viscosity.

Heating work should be done economically and appropriately, improper heating causes many mechanical damages in the fuel oil electric exchanger, and it cannot be achieved at the desired level of heating.

In addition, heavy oils generally contain high amounts of sulfur, fuel heaters that are not designed properly are quickly exposed to chemicals and deformed by the effect of sulfur. So when exchangers designed need to be used suitable material for long last time lifespan.
