Hot oil is used in many places in the industry to heat high viscosity, low fluidity heavy oil or materials.

The main purpose of using hot oil is generally to increase the efficiency of hot oil boiler usage by reducing the return oil temperature of the hot oil boiler whose primary heat has been removed.

Apart from this, in some areas where electricity is expensive or limited, hot oil is produced by burning fuels such as natural gas, fuel oil, and diesel in hot oil boilers by means of burners. The produced hot oil is passed through hot oil exchangers, heavy oil is heated and brought to a flowing consistency. The dynamic viscosity of fuel oil prepared for burning and shipping in hot oil exchangers is around 5cSt.
